WONDROUS WORDS WEDNESDAY | Lee… Pace?

I love Lee Pace. Let’s get that out of the way. Got it?  Good. But that’s totally unrelated to the word of the day. But if you like Lee Pace, let me know. 😉

Wondrous Words Wednesday is a weekly meme where you can share new words that you’ve encountered or spotlight words you love.  Feel free to get creative!

Today’s word is from my current read, The Madman’s Daughter by Megan Shepherd.

lee (l)n.

1. Nautical The side away from the direction from which the wind blows.
2. An area sheltered from the wind
3. Cover; shelter.

I’m more familiar with the word leeway. Maybe they’re related somewhat?
